I love this quote. It challenges me to ask the question.

Is life happening to me or am I happening to it? We have a choice. Little by little, step by step a path is chosen. This is good news. This means step by step we can adjust our path.

This quote is from the book I am reading Fast/Forward. This is one of the great books from a service I use called LeaderBox from Michael Hyatt & Company. A company I use for personal coaching.

As a part of a journaling practice each morning. I ask myself which step will I take? Which path will I choose?

So, pause for a second……..

Ask yourself. Which step will I take today? Only focus on one step. Which path will I choose?

We all know as leaders, to be consistent we must be intentional. Right!
But, if the bible were an iPhone we would all be different people. We would read it about every 10 seconds, we would never put it down. We would ask it for advice, search for the answers to any questions we may have. We would take it to the bathroom. We would sleep with it next to our hearts. It would ALWAYS be with us. We would never be or feel LOST. (find my iPhone) God has the same app. It’s called “Find my Lost Sheep”
P.S. This is not grounded in my theology. Just a funny thought.

Questions I ask during my daily journaling practice.

A few questions I ask myself each morning and try to answer. My goal is to live each day with intentionality. This only takes about 15 to 20 minutes per morning. I do this while enjoying my coffee.

– How did I sleep?
– What happened yesterday?
– What were my biggest wins from yesterday?
– What lessons did I learn that I don’t want to forget?
– What am I thankful for right now?
– How am I feeling right now?
– What did I read Today?
– What stood out to me in my reading?
– What are my plans for today?
– How are my finances?

How I am staying focused while reading a book! I am a father of 12 and involved in three businesses. So, I am easily distracted. (BTW this is only my second video. So no judging.) I sat down with and my idea and got started.

About once a year I try to go through almost everything I own (or does it own me) and repurpose or share any of the things we no longer need or use. Today I found a photo of a leader that I enjoyed working for, and count as a friend.

My Favorite Desktop Speakers

Over the years I have tried several types of desktop speakers and after much searching I have chosen the Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System.
I have always been a fan of Bose Products. I also have the Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II I use for outdoors in the summer.

I have the Bose Companion 20 speakers attached to my custom built PC (more on that side project later) and my MacBook Pro.
They have a nice warm, rich sound for playing music at a low to moderate volume. I also use them for playing the one game I play. Call of Duty.
